This tour is especially designed for people who wish to discover the essentials of Paris:The Champs-Elysees, Arch of Triumph, Concorde Square, Invalides*, Eiffel Tower and Trocadero*, The Opera Garnier, Notre-Dame Cathedral*, Louvre Palace, Orsay Museum, Madeleine Church... As opposed to our Paris Panorama Tour, the Paris Clin d'Oeil Tour does not include Montmartre and its famous Square (Place du Tertre). You will also be escorted by our driver-guide, who will take you for this leisure-guided ride of Paris to show you the major landmarks of the capital city.
Our guide will drive you to Versailles Palace, residence of the Sun King, Louis XIV. Here, you will discover the famous "A la Francaise" gardens, as well as the Grand Trianon and The Petit Trianon with Marie Antoinette's Hamlet. Entering Normandy, you will visit Claude Monet's home, the "Father of Impressionism". Discover the famous gardens created by the impressionist painter, and the well known Japanese bridge in the midst of its flowered paths and wather-lily ponds. This tour ends with the visit of the "Mus?e d'art Am?ricain Giverny": Franco-American contributions to the history of art.
"Claude Monet's property at Giverny, left by his son to the Acad?mie des Beaux-arts in 1966, has, after completion of large scale restoration work, become the Claude Monet Foundation, inaugurated in 1980. The house, with its pink crushed brick fa?ade, where the leader of the Impressionist School lived from 1883 to 1926, once again has its colourful d?cor and intimate charin of former times. The precious collection of Japanese engravings is displayed in several rooms, hung in the marmer chosen by the master of Giverny himself.
After being picked up from your accommodation in Paris, you will be accompanied by our driver guide for a long afternoon to discover the colourful vineyards of the most noble of wines. You will start by visiting the cellars of one of the most famous vineyards : Mo?t & Chandon. Then we will be driving through the vineyards and make a stop in the village of Hautvilliers.
